i hate those days when i am just spent and feel too lazy to blog and write about stressful things of my day. the new little one had a rough time tonight and he missed his 'nannie'.its the first time he has asked for her,and he has only mentioned mom once when he and q had a fight.then the other day he popped some lady on the butt while in the grocery store,which was pretty funny afterwards.i made him apologize. i pray for strength and patience with his situation.

so we have a new set of footsteps in the home--- a little louder than what we already have! he is so funny,and all smiles and laughs.gets along well w/ all until naptime! we r praying to hear His voice clearly,even though in the back of my mind i just want to hear my own conscious!

I know what your thinking.Your thinking-have i spent enough time with my child/children today? Did i say the right thing?do i discipline too often/too harshley/not enough? Is the way i am feeding them good enough or too strict? Do i read the bible to them enough? do i yell too much? Do i let them get away with too much? should they have a cell phone at this age? Are they really listening to me? Am i a good mom? ya know, we all struggle in some area with mommyhoode. i am TIRED of the struggle. at some point ,i must give up the fight and give my children to God and make sure i am doing all that is required of me IN THE LORD. NOT 'what the world says,or what my mom says,or what my neighbore says. not what ANYONE says,only one voice counts.read what HE says.'train up a child in the way they should go....'

LIFE.
It can be a bummer or it can be a thrill,its all in our attitude,the way we view God (which isnt always the redeemed view some days) and the way we percieve the situation. I LOVE Jesus,and He has His best in His heart for me and for YOU. We do not have to fight for His best,HE HAS IT. We have to 'flesh it out'. We have to keep every thought captive to Christ. He has already done all He needs to do for us,rememeber-IT IS FINISHED.His work is done. We are now bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. (i am speaking to the saved,the enlightened ones,the righteousness of Christ)We need to ride the waves of His mercy,His grace,His forgiveness.

camping 2010

well, i survived! we had such a bonding wonderful time getting bit by random bugs and playin' in various creek spots. we thought we would never find a camping spot as they were almost all filled up,and we got there around 2pm,so we learned our lesson! we prayed and God got us the perfect lil' set up.we had driven an hour just trying to locate the perfect spot and when we got it all the girls were saying thank you God! i think maybe more outta pure exhaustion than reverence! naa,i really believe they meant it! tom put up the tent while we played in the gorgeous river. tom built a fire and we enjoyed it all of 20 minutes and a monsoon came! at least we got to play a while and get dinner in. we went to sleep and in the middle of the night we see headlights shining in our tent.the park wranger shows up.well,at first we didnt know who it was,and i asked tom,you got the gun?he's like ya,i'm like,get it ready! then we hear-forest service,can you step outta your tent? so we almost got a $75 ticket for not properly storing our food and trash.they transfer problem bears of the smokies to this area.we knew better,but the rain came and we slacked.

our neighbor campers felt sorry for us cause it POURED and put out our fire and the next morn we had no wood to cook breakfast,so they brought over some firewood for us.they were real sweet to do that. they were even gonna start the fire. They really thought we had never been camping b4,which is so funny to me cause tom has done it a thousand times! we didnt want to start a fire that morn cause we had decided we werent going to stay another night,but cause of their kindnes tom went ahead and started one.we made smores in the morn! thats a first!

so good to see old friends! willis and lundy ,otherwise known as ginny and jenny came down from atlanta (willis drove from kansas to atlanta to see her fam).jenny has 3 girls under the age of 5 and so adorable.our girls got along great and we had a good time trying to catch up.notice i said trying,,,,,with this six kids under the age of 7 it was a little daunting! later in the day we went to a mexican restaurant and that was a fiasco if u can imagine!los magueys rocks though!thats what we get for watching the foodnetwork all day! i guess o and her oldest had worked up an appetite after they decided to eat a june bug.well,let me rephrase,o talked her into eating one i think.but yeah,,,,,a june bug.i told o the next time she does that she needs to cook it first! and they both said it tastes like chicken. we looked in their mouths and checked their teeth for bug legs and such.

we so love fresh running waters!we all went to the hiawasee today.we first hiked a trail called john muir that was running along the river.just GORGEOUS! there were enough slate rocks to build a whole subdivision! i kept saying 'theres my back patio!'
zoe saw a black snake and screamed and jumped and then tom picked it up for us to view closer.it was a friendly one and we were all able to touch it.it kept flicking out its tongue smelling of us and sensed no danger and tom let it climb up and around his arm.of course i forgot the camera today!so many beautiful pics missed but the girls reminded me i could do like uncle sammy use to do and take pics with my eyes.how it works is,you focus on the scene you want and you blink your eyes like a camera and it goes to heaven for later viewing...but only when your dead of course.
then we drove up a ways to another spot to go for a swim and a picnic.i love the river rocks.the girls love the water.tom loves the crawfish catching.kept trying to get him to keep'em and i would sautee them when we got home.he wouldnt take me up on it,after watching monsters inside me.i was gonna cookem,no parasite left after that :)

went to chilhowee lake to swim today.as we are driving down our road to get to swimming hole we see a fawn and its moma.thats about the cutest baby animal next to a lamb!we oooh and ahhh and discuss how precious certain baby animals are,and which ones are the cutest.then dropped off q with her gran so we could actually enjoy a LONGER stay,if ya know what i mean!the girls and i went to ace for ear plugs which ace didnt have and we ended up buying the $5 chair and three 99 cent butterfly nets and 2 water guns.load up again and on the way there is a house we pass on Old federal rd.we respectfully call the crazy man that lives there the turkey guy/man.why?cause he is sometimes out in his front yard with his pet turkey.he looks to weigh 100 pounds and as tall as a tree and hair like the biggest afro you ever saw on a white person! (i am so not making this up)Usually has his arms crossed and a wild look in his eyes.we didnt get to see him this trip though.:(but we did notice his upside down chairs on the front porch.oraya asked me why his chairs are 'flipped' and i had no answer except,'cause some people are just weird or crazy like that but God loves them and thats ok.it would be boring if everyone was like us...well,maybe not'
got to lake and had a blast,especially oraya torturing coda whom she has known since birth.her mom and i say coda and o fight like brother and sister and zoe will be the one to marry him one day! packed a lunch we all ate randomly.
on the way back home we stopped to buy fireworks and i noticed a boston terrier wandering around,no collar,full of ticks.i had the suspicion he was lost.the guys running the firworks stand said he had been there all day.it was a very busy road and he almost went into it a couple of times.so of course you know where he is tonight!we named him ladd,cause it was by ladd springs rd and 411.but when i came home after seeing twilight with some friends tom had renamed him.....buttkuhs.real nice.

i finally got us a blogspot,lost the other i had started.
some days as a mom you want to just scream naked in the woods and never come back,can anybody dig? when the kids fight relentlessly,the house is a disaster and every mess you clean another five piles up! when my youngest wants to sneak out the front door and run to gammys and then proclaim to them'mommy sent me over,she is going to pick me up when we go swimming'.but i have also learned God has told me i can rejoice and praise Him in ALL activities,including cleaning poop off the kitchen,bedroom,bathroom(yes all in one 'accident'!) floor from diahrea!
